Judgment at Verdant Court reviews

A couple of nice reviews for the new book:

"...I’m really pleased with this plot twist."
The Illustrated Page

"Then the good stuff happens."
SF Crow's Nest

"Aided by a sombre and heroically humble military veteran, Karl, and a slew of other memorable allies..."
Timothy at Goodreads

Good catch! Christopher is the protagonist of the story; but Karl is the hero.  The most self-realized character I have ever written; I remember being surprised when I first met Karl in the narrative. Which, given that I was writing it, was a bit surprising.

  1. Curious when you will write the next Prime novel? Read the first three in December and am hooked. Just curious.

  2. Thanks! I am halfway through book 4, and hoping to turn it in by March, which hopefully will still get it out at the end of 2016.

  3. I'm hooked too. Read the first two in three days and the latest in one day. Can't wait for book 4. Do you mean end of 2017? 11 months still to wait?

Thank you though. I love the series, and the way you're playing with such an interesting concept.

  4. Thanks! And doh, yes, the end of 2017. I have been promising book IV for so long (I have a few readers who have been waiting for it for over ten years) that I've lost track of the decade.

On the plus side, book IV is now at 94,000 words. Just a few chapters left to write.

  5. Anonymous, I've deleted your comment because it's under the wrong post. If you want to argue with my political posts, please do so under a political post.

  6. Do you know how many books will be in the series?

    1. There will be five: Verdict on Crimson Fields, and Black Harvest. VoCF is already with the publisher; I am taking a breather before tackling BH.

The scale of Christopher's adventures changes mightily for the last book, so it's going to be quite a ride.
